AmpLoft
How AmpLoft works
Cost arithmetic for electric-car ownership, with the assumptions shown rather than hidden.
How we research
Every guide states its assumptions and shows the arithmetic: kWh per mile, your electricity rate, the gas price, the miles you drive. Change any of them and the answer changes, which is why the calculator sits on the page.
How we make money
At the time of writing this site carries no affiliate links and no advertising. No link earns a commission and no company pays for coverage. If that ever changes, the disclosure page will say so first and any paid link will be marked where it appears.
The method behind every number
- Every breakdown starts from numbers you can change: purchase price, your electricity rate, the gas price and the miles you drive, not a press release.
- We show the formula and the assumptions, so the math can be checked and re-run for your own case.
- Figures are labelled illustrative where they vary by car, rate, or region, so nothing reads as a quote. We buy and test no cars, and incentive rules point back to the agency that sets them.
